Check out our mini-interviews with the burn Nordic skate team and the other burn riders here.
We are stoked to present the uniquely talented riders from Norway, Sweden and Denmark who will make up the burn Nordic skate team. For the very first time the team was united in the occasion of celebrating the true legend Rune Glifberg's 25th anniversary in Fælledparken, Copenhagen.
When Rune Glifberg welcomed friends and fans at his Silver Anniversary at Fælledparken on June 18, they not only celebrated one of the biggest legends in skate history, it was also an opportunity to meet some of the most talented new stars united in a pan-Nordic team when burn presents burn Nordic skate team.
It is no coincidence that the Burn Nordic skate team was united for the first time at Fælledparken as Rune Glifberg is team mentor for Burn's international pro skate team, Burn Units - a profile that sets the bar for what burn skaters should be known for.
We're delighted, pleased and excited to confirm that these riders will make up the burn Nordic skate team. Read below for a bit more info on each of the skateboarders.
Rasmus Sand:
Rasmus has just received the prize as Denmark's most talented skater - for the second year in a row! Also he is characterized as one of the most laid-back people on the Danish skate scene.
Jonas Skrøder:
Jonas has a mix of fireball raw energy and smooth style, which cannot be compared to anyone else in Denmark. During the summer his residence is the European skate scene making him one to keep an eye on both now and in the future.
Albert Nyberg:
Albert "Abbe" Nyberg's technical tricks and unique style has made him a renowned name on the international scene. With a recent place on the podium at Junkyard skate battle and a film session with the legendary Battle Of The Berrics in LA, Albert is surely to attract headlines in his burgeoning career. Abe was also just recruited to Steve Berra's legendary Berrics. Go here to see his intro video.
Jean Marc Soulet:
If you have been waiting for someone to bring old-school skateboarding back, Jean Marc will not disapoint you! Gaps, flips and grinds is on his agenda like the time when Chad Muska ruled in oversized skate shoes.
Kevin Bækkel:
Kevin is by far the youngest on the team. Born in 1995 he still has a lot of years ahead of him, but when on a skateboard he's light years ahead of many of his older competitors.
Gustav Tønnesen:
Gustav is truly an example of passion and integrity. Although he has won the Norwegian championship a number of times, he still doesn't stop to surprise and win respect. With his natural talent and laid-back style he will be a hard act to follow.
